Curtain Drops on OnTrack Website,
Kirkland Chamber of Commerce Revealed

Someone has some explaining to do.

For a while today the website for OnTrack, a so-called monorail “watchdog group”, showed a copy of content from the Kirland Chamber of Commerce website. It’s nice to see the curtain drop on these guys, if only for a second. Take a look.

This raises a lot of questions. Why is the OnTrack site showing content from the Kirland chamber of commerce? What is Kirkland’s relationship to OnTrack? What in the world is going on here? Perhaps those in Kirkland should worry about Kirkland and let us in Seattle find our own solutions.

I gave OnTrack a call on their listed phone number and left a polite message asking what happened. I suggest you do the same.

Holy Eastside conspiracy theory! This is wacky. If there is some kind of relationship, fine. It’s a free country. But better be transparent about it or you’re working for evil, not good. Whassup, ontrackers?

Much as I’d like to reveal a conspiracy, couldn’t it simply be a DNS glitch of some sort? It appears that both domains use the same servers…

  3. Christian Says:

Definitely not a DNS glitch. As far as I can tell the HTML file for the homepage for the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce was accidently copied over the OnTrack home page. As a result, the OnTrack site was showing the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce page minus the images. If it was a DNS glitch, you would have gotten the images as well.

Both sites are probably managed by the same PR firm. Only so many hacks and flacks to go around, you know.
