Looking for Protest People, a Flash Person and There’s a Board Meeting Tuesday Night (Meeting Rescheduled for Thursday)

Three quick things.

  1. If you have the ability to be downtown in the afternoon on a weekday for a protest, let us know so we can include you in some upcoming fun.
  2. We’re looking for a person who knows Macromedia Flash to donate a couple hours of time.
  3. The Tuesday Night Meeting has been postponed to 6:30 pm on Thursday.

    Heh… when you said you were looking for a “flash” person, I pictured a naked person with “save the monorail” written on their body running down 5th ave.

    Where is the protest going to be? I work across the street from Westlake Park (Protest Central) and could break away for a little while during a late lunch break. Let me know.

    I have to agree with Steve’s remark above about the “flash person”. I pictured the same thing but with the naked person running around Westlake Park! That would get us plenty of media attention as well as attention from others!

    Another thing that we can do to see that our voices are heard is to join the King County Young Democrats (open to anyone under the age of 36). I have been a member for a while but am trying to work within the group to REMOVE endorsements of candidates who oppose the Monorail (including Mayor Greg Nickels and City Council Members up for re-election). Please join me at their monthly meeting tonight to see if we can ban together under this organization and give our ENDORSEMENT for the Monorail vote!!!
