Mayor Gridlock Hits the Front Page

Months ago, we got a quote in the Seattle Times which included “Mayor Gridlock”. We thought that was a big win.
The Stranger has redefined our sense of ‘big’.
Check out their series of articles about our battle for rapid transit in Seattle and, if you haven’t already, check out MayorGridlock.com.

Let the words Mayor Gridlock spring to the lips of every man, woman and child every time they find themselves stuck in Seattle’s traffic.
Update: It sounds like they’re might be t-shirts coming.

I was glad to read the articles in the Stranger, but saddened by the fact that “Mayor Gridlock” was re-elected. I’m glad you guys are keeping things positive.

Freakin’ amazing.
The Stranger is also considering making T-Shirts of the cover. Email Dan if you’d like one.

Re: Upcoming Ultra-Gridlock
Seems we need something to get us through the 8 short years of ultra-gridlock we’ll all be in, when the viaduct goes down.
I have a suggestion. Lets set aside two traffic lanes on the nearest major arterials paralleling the Green Line, and run city express buses with their own traffic signal controls. They’ll go through just like suburban commute buses!
You’ll see Seattle neighborhood motorists jumping out of their cars to flag down a ride!

I love that cover! I want a t-shirt, poster, buttons…! lol
Could Seattle be growing up, finally, to take on its own establishment???
Maybe a new city band called theGridlocks, performing in front of the new city hall that isn’t supposed to be build yet?

Damn the man, Marcus. Damn the man.

Got a copy of The Stranger handed to me yesterday, with the comment from my friend, “I know you’ll appreciate this article.” I was thrilled and happy to see that we are still discussing it and having a hard time letting it go. I for one, can say, I’m having trouble sleeping at night knowing what a mistake this City made. Let’s hope Mayor Gridlock enjoys the banners I’ll be continuing to put up in West Seattle in his honor.

Natasha, Greg lives in the Admiral District behind the theater if your interested in plastering a few up around there. I’m sure Mr Grid would enjoy seeing his mug on all the poles.

I’m knocked over Christian and I’m excited that all your hardwork has had reverberations. You, politics, and server space are the perfect combination.

Tim, thanks for Greg’s locale. I’ll be sure to make his holidays BRIGHT!
