Pictures From Yesterday’s Wetsuit Event

November 4th, 2005

Here’s a few pictures for your Friday enjoyment from our wetsuit event in Westlake Center. We gave out an amazing amount of brochures in only a couple hours. Much thanks to Chase and Molly for their sacrifice of looking downright goofy.

We’re in our final push this weekend, so keep getting the word out.

Update: The Seattle Times wrote up our work. Also, there’s a possibility they showed some footage on Q13 last night. Anyone catch it?

Viaduct Alternatives: Monorail or Wetsuit Event from 2-4pm Thursday

November 3rd, 2005

wetsuit

One way or another, the viaduct is going to come down and when it does it will split our city in two leaving West Seattle as an isolated island and making traffic even worse across the entire city.

A yes vote for the monorail can give us relief and an alternative during viaduct construction and keep our city whole. Without the monorail, the only other alternative will be wetsuits. To drive this point home, both Chase and Molly have volunteered to stick on wetsuits to demonstrate downtown.

Place: Westlake Center
Time: 2-4 pm on Thursday

Come by to help hand out brochures or if you have a wetsuit, feel free to slap it on and join in the fun.

Watch the Transit Over Roads Television Advert

November 2nd, 2005

Transit Over Roads, the official pro-monorail campaign, has debuted a television advert to be aired over this critical week and weekend. Make sure you check it out and, if you have the means, donate to help them get it on the air.

Need Two Volunteers for a 2 pm to 4 pm Event on Thursday

November 2nd, 2005

We’re looking for two volunteers to help us pass out information from 2 to 4 pm on Thursday at Westlake Center in the heart of downtown. If this is something you can swing, let us know. Also, if you can make it and you own a wetsuit, drop us a line as we’d like you to put that wetsuit to good use.
